Product Settings of “Package Update Server for WooCommerce”
This page is about how to setup product to serve updates by the plugin “Package Update Server for WooCommerce”.
It is all for downloadable product so you need mark the checkbox “Downloadable” at first.
Settings by “WooCommerce”
Some settings by woocommerce are also applied for serving updates, please setup carefully.
File Setting
It is highly recommended to upload in edit page for the product as WooCommerce product if you want to upload it because the file uploaded like in media pages is normally in public so that anyone can access.
Second, please set the file name without file-extension. If the file is “example.zip”, set “example”. However, it is possible that the same name is already uploaded in the same folder for some reason like you upload it as the latest version, then file name is automatically changed into “example-2” or something like this but you just keep the name in “example”.
In order to update, just upload the new file and keep the file name, then go to the setting “Package Version”
Download Expiry
Download Expiry is applied for token’s expiry.
Please set expiry in day.
If you do not want set expiry, just keep it empty.
Settings by “Package Update Server for WooCommerce”
The settings below is appened by the plugin “Package Update Server for WooCommerce”.
Package Type
This setting is required to generate token and to serve update for the download.
You will see the select box which has:
- None
- Theme
- Plugin
- Other
Pick one of them.
“None” is default value which does not generate tokens and not serve updates like general downloads.
Package Version
Please set the version of the current package as the downloadable item when you upload.
You can not back to the older version from the current version.
Tested Environment Version
This is the version of the environment where the package is load.
If the downloadable item is for WordPress Theme or Plugin, set the Tested WordPress Version.
The environment depends on the package which client use.
